Note: I never see used ST3's in my area, especially not for that price. Plenty of ST and ST2's but 3's are rare.

Having owned a Chrysler for the past 7 years... I'll gladly walk from their sub par reliability and quality. No major issues but enough minor ones to become an annoyance. here we go:

Convertible top piston

driver side door check x 3 (it's still broken now)

Cylinder 1 missfire - coil pack and injector

alternator

alternator pulley bearing

rear defroster (connector just bloop fell off the glass)

Rear window separating from top

3rd break light full of condensation

interior made of Lego's

everything squeeks moans and groans

Though fiat era Chrysler does seem more appealing.

If they brought back the crossfire... I'd be much more torn and find it hard not to.

Plus with paying for school I'll be sticking with the Stringbean for a bit longer.

Yes, it isn't the ST3 but you get full warranty and you can do Octane academy. And if you search hard enough you probably can find a recaro packaged one for 22-23k or less.

The seats are the killer for me. I don't mind doing a headlight swap but replacing those seats with recaros would be plenty expensive.

Octane Academy would be ludicrous fun though.

Ugh you don't have to tell me.

One of my best friends has a 500 Abarth and I just want his engine (read exhaust) in a Miata. I'm hoping they just use the turbo 1.4 for the normal 124. That way it'll be positioned above the Miata in HP. Even in its current stats it has 5-25hp more.

Fiat and Chrysler love the multiair engine enough to put it in everything. speculation... But with the SRT Dart (tigershark multiair engine in the current dart) coming out soon... If they take cues from the SRT and carry them with to the Abarth they may be on to something.
